Newsflash

With 2011 comes new and exciting challenges.

Many more children and parents joining us and

we are trying to make more and more

improvements.

Old staff return to work with us (many with their

new children) and new ones join as we go and

grow.

Alongside this we are using our best endeavours

to put each child first and give all teams the

ability to develop and improve their

environments.

Increasingly we are also looking at utilising the

skills of our parent partners.

Lastly but not least we are working alongside

colleagues and friends to develop more and

better resources at
www.dragonswood.co.uk and

www.shanticot.co.uk
and will be looking at how

we can continue to raise the awareness that our

youngest brains need the best we, as adults,

can provide.

While we will look to improve, add and change this web

site, our priority is to work with the children.

We will try to add more photographs - and the

'improvements page' has been updated in January 2011.

so please visit our gallery to see

as they grow and develop.

We will attempt to change them more regularly - so please come back every now and then to see

Child First has been developing the five nurseries since 2007 and is the culmination of over 20 years development experience in childcare and learning. Everyone involved in managing and running these nurseries has substantial experience in child development and care – the emphasis, as the name suggests, is that we all believe it is essential to put the Child First.

Having worked with and for children, we are developing this small group of exemplar nurseries which are growing from acceptable to exceptional in the care and development that they provide.

In combining the talents of children and young people with our own skills and experience, we provide environments which we have already improved and are constantly seeking to improve further.

The five nurseries – in Aylesbury, Banbury, Bicester, Northampton and Solihull – are good now and as they grow will be splendid centres for children, parents, staff and employers – and an example of practice that others can share and experience with us.

We welcome all visitors – unplanned or booked
